Talk about a knockout.
Ronda Rousey graced one of three covers of the Sports Illustrated swimsuit edition, which will hit newsstands next week.
The UFC fighter who had conquered every challenger until hitting a Holly Holm-sized pothole tackled the cover similarly, donning a face that both intimidates and lures with a body she proudly flaunts.
Having that body — a toned, muscular cut that doesn’t conform to the toothpick image of conventional feminine beauty — spurred her into the shoot. She’ll share the cover with models Hailey Clauson and “plus-size” Ashley Graham.
“It’s a real honor being part of such a historic issue that really pays homage to different body types of women and not promoting just one cookie cutter image for every woman, but showing that the healthiest version of every body type is the sexiest version out there,” Rousey said in a release. “And I couldn’t be happier. … I think I was just as honored to get it as to be there in person to watch Ashley’s reaction [laughs].”
Also with Sports Illustrated, Rousey had done a photo shoot wearing nothing but body paint.
“This is the longest I’ve just walked around naked since I was like 10,” Rousey joked.
With arctic chills hitting New York, let Rousey and her fellow models keep you warm.
