Robert Mark Marciano, born on the 25th of June, 1968, is an American meteorologist, journalist, and television personality. He became famous for hosting the weather news report in programs including “American Morning” and “Good Morning America” among others.

Born in Glenville, Connecticut, Marciano is of Italian and German descent; he got his education at Cornell University graduating with a degree in meteorology. He’s also a Certified Broadcast Meteorologist, and holds the American Meteorological Societal Seal of Approval.
Marciano’s career started right after college when he became part of KATU-TV and 750 KXL News Radio in Portland, Oregon, as their chief meteorologist. In 1994, he took up the same position in Lake Charles, Louisiana for KPLC-TV, until 1997. He then moved to WVIT Connecticut News 30 in West Hartford, Connecticut, becoming a weather anchor. His early years in local news became the platform for his career, and also started his net worth.
In May 2003, Marciano moved to a bigger platform when he joined CNN. He became the weather anchor for the show “American Morning” in the networks’ Atlanta headquarters, where he stayed until 2011. When the show was replaced with two new programs, namely “Early Start” and “Starting Point”, he decided to leave the network.
In late 2012, it was announced that he would become the new co-anchor for the show “Entertainment Tonight”, replacing long-time host Mark Steines. In 2013, he became the new host along with Nancy O’Dell, in which they co-anchored the daily and weekly edition of the program. His transition to national media catapulted his career to new heights, and tremendously increased his wealth.
In 2014, Marciano left “Entertainment Tonight” and announced that he would be moving to ABC News to become their new senior meteorologist. He joined the “Good Morning America Weekend” team, and reports on the weather headlines. He also works with Ginger Zee from time to time along with the Extreme Weather Team for major weather coverage across the network.
Today, Marciano is still with the “Good Morning America” team.
In terms of his personal life, Marciano has been married since 2010 to Eryn, and together they have one daughter named Madelynn. He is also a known outdoorsman and enjoys extremes sports such as hiking, skiing, mountain biking, and playing golf.
